Edie Raskin, LICSW, received her BA in History from the University of Maryland in 1974 and her Masters in
Social Work from Tulane University School of Social Work in 1975.
Since that time, Ms.Raskin has worked as a social worker in a variety of settings, both medical and mental health.
She worked for several years as a Pediatric Social Worker at Boston City Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute and
Mass.General before returning to her original training in child mental health. In 1990, she completed a year certificate
program, Postgraduate Study in Child Treatment, at Boston University School of Social Work.
Ms. Raskin enjoys working with children of all ages, doing both play and talk therapy. She has worked extensively
with children and adolescents who have ADD/ADHD, school
adjustment problems, separation anxiety and depression. Ms. Raskin also works with adults as well as children and
their families who are struggling with issues of separation/divorce, grief and loss and medical and mental illness.
Ms. Raskin is also very interested in the challenges of adoption as well as those faced by immigrant families.
